New 'Energy Markets and Sustainable Industries Chair' (CEMSI)!

Climate Mobility Energy

On the occasion of the 2026 Marcel Boiteux Lecture : Deloitte, EDF, RTE, Stellantis, and CentraleSupélec officially launched this chair, led by the S.E.R.G.

The pioneering work of Marcel Boiteux laid the foundations for electricity economics and carbon pricing. Today, these same issues are being revisited in a radically transformed context: liberalized markets, the imperative of decarbonization, large-scale electrification, and increasing complexity in energy markets.

The CEMSI tackles 6 key challenges:
➡️ Impacts of end-use electrification
➡️ Pathways to deep industrial decarbonization
➡️ Decentralization of energy decision-making
➡️ Modeling flexibility needs linked to renewable energy
➡️ Risks and opportunities of electric mobility
➡️ Integration of new demands: hydrogen and data centers

Under the leadership of Prof. Olivier Massol and Prof. Yannick Perez, the Chair leverages advanced analytical approaches to design the energy systems of tomorrow: stochastic optimization, cooperative game theory, multi-market analysis...

A further step toward a more sustainable and decentralized energy future!
